I really haven't been blogging for a really long time as I've been busy and it really isn't as if anyone cares as my blog is really dead even to myself.
Anyway, another semester is ending and I'll have to change class again. I still remember, on the first day of this semester, I was a little apprehensive and all but I've really grown to like this class and everything but it always seem that good things has to come to a end and all of us will go to different classes next semester but I don't want this to happen. Why can't we be as a class until the end of our education? I'll really miss some as I've grown rather close to a number of them. I guess I really should close my heart so that when the time for goodbyes come, I'll not feel so sad.

Nothing really interesting has been happening therefore there's really nothing to blog about thus I shall just talk about the movies that I've recently watched.
First on the list is Ocean's Thirteen. This movie simply oozes class and style. You'll see the glitz of Las Vegas and the stylish way the Danny and co carry themselves. However, one thing that separates this movie from the previous 2 is that this part has a moral edge. It's about how they plan to avenge another of their member who has been screwed by Willie Banks (played by Al Pacino who brings this role to a whole new level). Banks is convincing as the villain that at the start of the movie, you can't help but cheer on Danny and co. This movie talks about morals like avenging a friend and that not for personal gains and the money goes to others. It also talks about the conditions of people in other country like the dice factory in Mexico. A few scenes of Oprah is added to enhance this message.
Second is Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. I think that to every comic fan boy or girl who knows the story of Fantastic Four or the Silver Surfer, this movie is both good and bad. It's good in the sense that finally, we get to see the Silver Surfer on the big screen but the story line of how the Fantastic Four met the Silver Surfer and the powers of the Silver Surfer has been twisted for the movie. Another thing that angers me is how they choose to depict Galactus; he's always hovering out of sight but when we finally see him, all that we see is an interplanetary storm cloud. Furthermore, the power of the Silver Surfer does not come from his board, he wields the "Power Cosmic" which has been imbued within him by Galactus. As his powers comes from Galactus, it's impossible for him to destroy Galactus. The actual fact is he defied Galactus and was imprisoned on Earth for this act of "betrayal".
However, one good thing about the movie is we get to see the silver surfer and the part where he passes through building and the bus is truly worth watching.

Well, Ive really been busy these two weeks with a lot of different stuffs especially the last few days of the second week and now, it's almost time to go back to school. Anyway, during one of the days that I was working, I lost $200 and this really shook my trust i others again as I was very certain that I did not spend the money and that there was more than the amount I had in my wallet at the start of the day than at the end of it. I was all ready to trust others again and this kind of things had to happen so I really do not know if I can begin to trust others again. I guess only time will tell and that the money lost will only serve as a lesson to me; not to trust others so readily and that to not underestimate the greed and acting of humans as they may be smiling to you but stabbing you at your back.

This past few days have been spent wandering around aimlessly. I really have difficulty finding some people to spend time with me be it just to walk around or for a meal. I'm really like what my nickname says "Bored and Ignored".

I've got to say that yesterday's event at Suntec was really a mess. It's been a long time since I was angry at the whole company and the latest one being the AIA event and that was just because of a single person but today's event really takes the cake. The beginning was quite alright as I was just in charge of setting up the four bars in 603 but at around 3pm, we were waiting for the coffee break which was supposed to start at 3.30pm but got delayed until 5pm. Before the coffee break, we were not supposed to serve any drinks as per the organiser's request but these people just can't seem to understand English and even after repeating for 3 times, they will still ask for the same thing like drinks to be served to them.
After the coffee break, we had to turn over for the night's cocktail. As expected, the cocktail was delayed and I was forced to do overtime. When the cocktail started, these people were acting like they have never drank before and all crowded around us and they were cutting the queue and shouting at us from all directions and they did not help by specifying what they wanted. Normally, when you drink liqueur, you would specify what liqueur and the way you would like it like neat, rock or with whatever mixers. So when I asked them how would they like their whiskey, they would just say whiskey and when I asked directly whiskey with what or what mixer they would like, they will still say whiskey and only after I have poured, they will look at the glass for a minute and say how they would like it. How dumb can these people get?
It really didn't help that they can't understand simple instructions and are so full of themselves. At the end of the event, the bars were closed and they kept coming to the bar and asking for drinks even though I've repeatedly told them that we were closed and that we had no more drinks left. I had to put an entire empty carton on the table and pour every single 12 bottle to prove that there was none left.
The fact that Suntec ran out of soda water didn't help too.
